Amberflame felt Silverpool's warm gaze rest on him. He padded over to the entrance of the camp. "I cannot fight my own kin again," he meowed. "I did it once, I'll never do it again. That's why I didn't fight back when you attacked me today. Goodbye." With that, he swished out of the camp, leaving silence behind.

Silverpool followed Amberflame to the entrance. She turned around and gave her clanmates one last look of longing to stay. She looked around at the cats before her and her eyes rested on the cat who she thought had been her best friend. Her bright green pools told the brown she-cat good-bye. She gave one last look around and then slipped swiftly through the camp entrance, never to go back through it.

Amberflame was limping through the forest, wondering where on earth where he was going to go, when he heard a cat following him. He whipped around, blood splattering the bushes next to him. "Who there?" he growled, extending his broken claws.
Silverpool stepped out. "Oh. So you followed me. I thought you were going to stay with your Clanmates." He flinched as he said "your Clanmates". He turned back around and kept limping away. But Silverpool stopped him.

Silverpool stepped out of the blood spattered bushes. She also flinched when Amberflame said "your clanmates". When he started to walk away, she whipped to the font of him, eyes blazing with anger. "Do you really want to go there with me!?" She shouted,"They are NOT my clanmates! My life may be back there with them, but that doesn't mean that I am going to stay with cats who one: almost killed my mate, and two: wanted me either dead or exiled too! They obviously don't want me there so why should I stay!?" Her voice was filled with rage and her eyes were blazing with anger. She was furious with him.

Amberflame staggered back a few paces when his mate rounded on him. "Sorr--ee. I--I idn't know you liked me that much, to go with an exiled cat. An exiled deputy at that." He placed his tail on her back. "Please don't get mad at me. I need all the fur I've got," Amberflame joked.

She brushed his tail off her back and said,"Yeah well you're lucky. And I didn't choose to go. They chose for me." She sighed and then turned and walked toward the edge of the territory. This day can't get any worse... she thought to herself.

This day couldn't be any better, Amberflame thought, following Silverpool. His breathing was becoming more ragged with each step, and he kept stumbling and falling. "Silverpool," Amberflame whispered. He collapsed onto his side, breathing irregularly.

Silverpool turned around when Amberflame whispered her name. "What?" She didn't say it furiously, she said it kindly, like her normal voice except duller.

"Silverpool," Amberflame repeated. "Go." He closed his eyes and waited for StarClan to welcome him.

Her eyes widened in horror and a lump formed in her throat. "NO!" She yowled and ran to Amberflame's side. She flopped down beside him and began licking him. I shouldn't have said anything! She thought to herself. She had gotten sent into exile, her mate was dying, she left her life behind, what next? Tears were streaming down her face as she licked him, knowing it wouldn't make it better.

Amberflame looked up at her, his eyes hard and cold. "Go, or you will die with me."
He suddenly stiffened. "Go! Now!" Amberflame stumbled up. "They're coming after us, Silverpool! Run!"

Silverpool shook her head and then sprinted away, not caring if he followed or not. He would probably die either way any way...

It had seemed like hours later when the dark tom stirred. He had been asleep for a couple minutes but suddenly awoke to the sound of yowls and hisses. His azure orbs flitted open in surprise as Crowflight bolted up. Pain surged through his brain as his winced but padded out of the den. To his surprise and much to his dismay, his clanmates were driving Amberflame out. Among the bodies, he caught a glimpse of the grey pelt of Silverpool. Then it hit him.
They were exiled. He felt his heart stuck in his throat as Crowflight shoved his way through his clanmates. No...it couldn't be! His heart wrenched in pain as the tom followed after the duo. Seeing Silverpool sprint away, Crowflight dashed after her.
"Silverpool!" The tom called after her.
