"Wait..." Amberflame sniffed. His eyes widened. "Quick: run away, I'll follow. Now!" he added, since Silverpool wouldn't move.

Silverpool ran when Amberflame told her too. She ran as fast as she could. She had been told that she was the second fastest cat in Silentclan. Amberflame was, of course, the first. She ran hard and strong for as long as she could before turning around and sitting down to wait for Amberflame.

Pebblestream followed the two cats' scents and finally emerged from the bushes into a small clearing where Amberflame and Silverpool were. She watched as Silverpool sprinted away. She hid herself quietly and watched Amberflame curiously.

Amberflame faced the oncoming cats calmly. "Hello, Pebblestream," he meowed to a wiry brown she-cat. "Nice day, isn't it? I thought I would go for a walk here...Silverpool ran away when I told her too, so it's just me and your Clan now, isn't it? I suppose the leader named you deputy?" He sat down and curled his mangled tail around his paws. He could feel the cuts on his skin starting to get infected; he needed a medicine cat now.

Pebblestream walked out and said,"Yes he did name me deputy. Oh and I didn't bring the clan. I brought..." She motioned for the medicine cat to come out and stand with her. She smiled a devilish smile at him, sat down and waited.

"Why did you bring Thornfire? I thought you wanted to kill me, not heal me." But he instanly knew why she brought the medicine cat: 1) Crowflight had mysteriously dissapeared, and 2) they had brought deathberries with them. He hoped Silverpool wasn't watching.
((And how about Silverpool came back, and now she is seeing everything that is happening?))

It had been long enough. Silverpool ran back to Amberflame, but instead of showing herself, she hid among the bushes, watching silently.

Pebblestream smiled at him as she realized that he figured out what they had with them. "I do want to kill you... just not by fighting..." She motioned for the medicine cat to proceed forward with the berries.

Amberflame watched silently for a minute then he said, "Go on, it will at least make the pain go away."

Pebblestream walked forward with Thornfire at her side. Thornfire set the berries down in front of Amberflame and stepped back, hoping he would eat them.

Silverstream burst out of the bushes and screamed,"NO!!!!!" She hoped dearly that Amberflame wouldn't kill himself, but she knew that he might and this broke her heart and took all the life that she had left in her out.

Amberflame smiled his creepy grin again. "You SERIOUSLY think I'm going to eat that? Never. I was going to have this snake bite me."
Everyone leapt back as an adder slithered out of the bushes next to him.
((Now silverpool leaps out...))

Silverpool burst out of the bushes and jumped back as the snake slithered out of the bushes not far from her. She waited until it passed before going to Amberflame's side. She watched her former best friend with her bright, unblinking pools. This cat was a murder and she wouldn't take it any longer.

Pebblestream jumped back as the snake slithered out and then resumed her former position as it slithered away. She bared her teeth at Silverpool as she stood next to Amberflame. She was angry with this she-cat because one: she had stood up for a cat that was sentenced to death and two: she had left with him. She could have stayed, but she went with him instead. But why...

Amberflame sneered. "Your plan backfired, Pebblestream. Goodbye." He stepped twards the adder. The adder hissed warningly.
