Amberflame barreled Crowflight into a tree. "You like that?" he snarled, his fury rising.

Crowflight felt the wind knock out of him as his back painfully met the rough bark. Shaking away the jolting pain, the tom snarled.
"Not enough to hurt me!" he growled and leaped at Amberflame. He slashed across the muzzle of the tom before leaping back, every hair bristling making the tom look twice as large. The raging storm whipped in his eyes as Crowflight hissed furiously.

AMberflame glanced back at Silverpool and knew he made a big mistake; searing pain slashed across his muzzle. Amberflame picked the smaller tom up by the scruff and threw him headfirst into the tree. "I wasn't called Amberflame for nothing," he snarled.

His back painfully met the bark again as Crowflight groaned in pain. He managed to get back up though his shoulders were hunched from the surging pain. But the sight of Silverpool...the one he really felt close to....it fueled him up. He snarled while leaping across to aim another blow to the cat. His claws raked across Amberflame's flank as Crowflight felt a twinge of satisfaction.
"So what?! You don't live up to your name!" The tom hissed.

"Let's see about that," Amberflame growled back. He forgot the pain in his side and lunged at the cat's throat, gushing blood pouring over his fangs, the sound of ragged breathing...

The sudden surge of satisfaction faded as a jolt of pain shot through his body. At first it was just a small twinge. But as seconds passed it grew to an unimaginable wave that surged to his brain. Crowflight gasped in pain as he dropped to the ground, drops of blood forming on the marshy grounds. He felt an unmistakeable numbness as his legs trembled. His breaths came out harsh and it was hard for him to take in air. Crowflight collapsed on his side, breathing heavily, eyes glazed and gazing at Amberflame.

Amberflame's moment of victory faded away; now all he could see was the blood, the glazed eyes...
"No!" he screeched, lunging toawrd the opponent. He grabbed Crowflight by the scruff and dragged him back to camp, Silverpool in his wake, shocked by what she had done.

He felt the world blur as a sudden jerk on his pelt startled him. He felt the marshy grounds slowly move as Crowflight breathed harshly, blood starting to trail out heavier. The scarlet blood stained his raven pelt as the tom nodded off in and out of his consciousness.

Amberflame padded into the camp and shocked yowls and screeches greeted him.He dragged Crowflight over to the medicine cat's den and left him there with Silverpool.
He walked over to the leader's den and sat, waiting for exile. he had done it. Amberflame had killed Crowflight, and he knew it.

Silverpool padded in. "Amberflame...I told them what you did...they...they want you dead. But Crowflight is going to live," she added. "I--I will still be your mate, even after what you did. I always knew that Crowflight was never right for me... even if they just throw you out of the clan... I will still be your mate. We will find each other some day... I know it... and from that day on we will live happily. If they kill you... well I will do my best to make that not happen... just remember that I will always love you." Tears were falling from her eyes and onto the ground below. She licked him a few times before turning and padding away. He was going to die and there was nothing she could do about it...

"Wait!" he blurted out. "I'll come with you...out there." He jerked his head to the entrance. He filed slowly after Silverpool, leaving despair in his wake.

She knew that he was behind her, but she didn't turn to look at him. Outside the camp, she turned around and sat down. "What are you doing?" She looked at him with tears in her eyes, not caring about them.

She looked at him and then said,"Well, duh! I know that. But why are you following me? You are supposed to be waiting for your punishment..."

"Well, I thought I might as well go to my punishment, because the whole Clan hates me." Amberflame did a creepy grin that scared Silverpool.
